The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

I graduated from Penn State in 2004 with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Crime, Law, and Justice. While at PSU, I studied abroad at the University of Sydney in Australia, which was amazing! My senior year, I was a dancer in THON. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done... and I would do it again in a minute - FTK! After graduation, I worked for a year in a psychiatric hospital with kids. I then moved to NYC to pursue my M.A. in Forensic Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I completed my externship at the federal prison, doing competency to stand trial assessments and administering tests, such as the Rorschach. I loved NYC and stuck around for 1.5 years after I graduated to work with Rikers Island inmates, setting them up with mental health treatment instead of jail time. I moved down to Washington D.C. this past fall to go back to school at the George Washington University. I'm currently working towards a Psy.D in Clinical Psychology, and eventually plan to return to the forensic setting.
